Seb and Bonnie Borrello have been spending their summers along the shores of the St. Lawrence River for years. Syracuse natives, the Borrellos look back over a very eventful 50 years of marriage that included fruitful academic and professional careers for both and a retirement that combines winters in Texas with summers in a riverside cottage near Clayton, NY. Through all the achievements and changes, at least two things have remained constant: their love for each other and their love of boating. Their 1954 Lyman outboard runabout has been with them all along, undergoing regular maintenance and a recent major restoration. Above, in the summer of 1961, Bonnie's pretty smile invites Seb aboard, and below, 50 years later, the happy couple plies the waters of the St. Lawrence once again.
